Tillen Finance is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and disclose your personal information in accordance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
What we collect
When you submit a pre-approval form, we collect your name, contact details, employment situation, income, deposit, credit situation, and the type and amount of finance you're seeking. We may also collect technical information such as your IP address, browser, and how you arrived at our website (UTM parameters and referrer).
When you submit a full finance application, we may also collect identity information, driver licence details, income and employment information, living expenses, assets, liabilities, residency information, supporting documents, and co-borrower information where applicable.
How we use it
We use your information to assess what finance options may be available to you, to share your enquiry with selected lenders on our panel for the purpose of obtaining pre-approval, to communicate with you about your enquiry, and to comply with our regulatory obligations under the Credit Contracts and Consumer Finance Act 2003 (CCCFA).
Who we share it with
We share your information with NZ-based lenders on our panel only to the extent necessary to obtain finance options for you, and with the service providers described below. We never sell your personal information.
Service providers we use
We use trusted third-party service providers to run our business, including website analytics and advertising tools, customer relationship management software, secure online application and document upload services, and email. They only use your information to provide those services to us.
Cookies and similar technologies
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to understand how visitors use the site and to measure and improve our advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the site will still work.
Where your information is stored
Some of our service providers store information on servers outside New Zealand. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to make sure your information is protected in a way that is comparable to the protection it has under the Privacy Act 2020.
How long we keep it
We keep your information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above and to meet our legal and record-keeping obligations. After that it is securely deleted.
